THE NORMANDY "D-DAY" TOUR

Start the day with a guided tour of the Caen War Memorial, then enjoy a leisurely lunch in the Memorial cafeteria. Afterwards, enjoy a full guided D-Day landing beach tour.

Price includes lunch and round trip transfers from the Caen rail station to the Memorial and landing beaches.

Description of the guided D-Day Landing beach tour :

The landing beach portion of your tour includes visits to the following sites :

• The artificial harbor at Arromanches
• The German gun battery at Longues-sur-Mer
• The American Military Cemetery at Colleville-sur-Mer
• Omaha Beach
• The Pointe du Hoc

Landing beach tour lasts approximately 4 to 5 hours. Transportation in an air-conditioned mini-van (up to 8 persons max).

Practical Information

Departure time for the guided tour of the D-Day Landing beaches :

From 04/01/06 to 09/30/06 : departure at 2 pm
From 10/01/06 to 03/31/07 : departure at 1 pm

Clients must be on the morning train scheduled to arrive in Caen at about 9:00 am (departure from the Paris Saint-Lazare train station at about 7:10 am*). The exact train schedule and the pick up will always be confirmed by our reservation department when booking.

* Special time schedules apply on Saturday, Sunday and Bank Holidays

Return to the Caen railway station is scheduled at about 7:00 pm in high season and between 6:00 and 6:30 pm in low season with a return to Paris around 9:00 pm.
